St. Gilgen International School
St. Gilgen International School is a co-educational boarding and day school located on the edge of Lake Wolfgang, in the stunning village of St. Gilgen in the Austrian Alps, only 35 minutes from Salzburg airport. The School accommodates students between the ages of 9 and 18, with an academic curriculum split into three phases: Primary, Middle and Senior, and all of its classes are taught in English. Prior to the start of the academic year, the School also offers a two-week summer camp whereby children get involved in outdoor activities while learning English or German.

St. Gilgen International School operates with the International Baccalaureate (IB) system, whereby students receive their IB diploma after their final two years. Its mission as a school is to empower each of its students to reach their fullest potential, so as to have a positive influence on the world, and to inspire them to discover a life-long love for learning.

St. Gilgen ensures a high standard of teaching by focusing on providing excellence in care, education, and opportunities. Voluntary periodic inspections from the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) in the UK, and the Council of International Schools (CIS), ensure the development and high quality assurance of the programmes the School offers, with the school being fully accredited by both bodies.

St. Gilgen’s aim as a school is to ensure that students thrive in their academic and social skills, achieved through ensuring individual and personal attention in small classes of 6-12 students, whilst giving them the opportunity to grow and explore.
